Pastor's Page
Welcome to our website!
We appreciate your interest in F.S.C.V. We are a fellowship of believers who seek to love and honor God, teach, believe, and practice His word, and love people. We exist to "Magnify the word of God, and mobilize the people of God to carry out the "Great Commandment" to love the Lord our God and love our neighbor as ourselves, and to fulfill the "Great Commission" to make disciples, baptize them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and to teach them to obey everything Jesus commanded us." (Mt.22:36-40, Mt. 28:18-20) We are a Southern Baptist Church. Our participation in the Cooperative Program of Missions Giving is what distinguishes us from other Baptist Churches. We join together with ~40,000 other Southern Baptist Churches to supply resources for what is the largest mission organization in the world. We are an independent church, determining our own beliefs and practice under God's leadership. We are a bible believing church holding God's word as our sole source of counsel for belief and practice. We are a compassionate church, accepting all people for who they are, where they are, meeting each person at their point of need with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are a growing church; God is adding to our numbers weekly as we seek to "keep up" with our growing community. Ours is a family church with programs and ministries for all ages. We would love the opportunity to get to know you, and for you to know us. I have been a pastor for 22 years. I was called to "full time Christian service" in 1976 after a radical "conversion" in 1975. After God delivered me from the drug culture and a multitude of addictions He began to work in my life to help others with a similar background. In 1976 I enrolled at Grand Canyon College (now University) where I graduated with a BA in 1980. I am an Arizona native but my wife Carolyn and I moved in 1981 (married in '80) to Louisville Ky. to attend Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. I received a Masters of Divinity Degree in 1984. Carolyn received her Teaching Certificate/Degree from A.S.U. in 1981 and her Masters of Educational Leadership from N.A.U. She is a School Teacher at Territorial Elementary School here in Chino Valley. We have 2 children Rochelle, who is attending college, and Caleb, 17 a senior at Chino Valley High School. God has blessed me with an extraordinary family! We have been here in Chino Valley for many years and have grown to love the people and the area. Our family enjoys outdoor sports and traveling and spending time together. Please don't hesitate to call (928) 636-2014 if you have any questions about our church. We look forward to meeting you.
Sincerely,

Pastor Mark Reeder

I had the pleasure of growing up in a Christian home and I became a Christian prior to my teenage years. Being involved in a youth group was a major part of growing up during those important teen years. When God called me to ministry, he did so out of an active youth group. To me, there is none more essential ministry in the church today than that to our teens. God is able to do incredible things with a young heart! The Xperience is a great place to seek after His will. Prior to entering the ministry, I had worked within law enforcement in a variety of positions including motorcycle gang intelligence and narcotics. I resigned my commission in 1986 and returned to focus on my education. In 1988, I completed my B.A. and was accepted at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill Valley, California. There I received my MDiv. In 1991, after graduation, we were appointed as missionaries to Japan. We left the day after Christmas. We lived in Tokyo and Hiroshima. Here, we worked with teens, especially youth gangs and kids on the street, Japan's "throw-aways." We were able to work with youth there until 1998 when we came back to the US. Youth work is my passion and it is what I do today. I have worked with in a variety of cross cultural settings including Korean, Japanese and Chinese. I have a side ministry working with those in the occult and have been doing this for a few years now. My family and I have been at FSBC since May of '03. When you get a moment, stop by the Xperience and see what we are doing. We would love to get to know you and have you be a part of the ministry here.
'Til the Trumpet Sounds, Pastor Andy
