Children’s Ministries
Parents, what a awesome job God has given to us. Not only has He entrusted us to care for our children, He has given us the responsibility to teach them His word. As parents, we are accountable to God to raise them to love and obey Him. Just as we help our children take those first steps, so too, are we to teach them to walk in God’s light. Are we reflecting His light?
As workers in Sunday School, AWANA and Children’s Church, we have the awesome job of coming along beside you as you bring up your children in the Lord. We encourage you to be part of their Church worship time. We would like you to attend Children’s Church from time to time. Please ask them, "What did you learn in Sunday School or AWANA today?" Ask them, "Do you have an assignment this week?" Follow though each week with home Bible study. This is how you come along side and encourage us. Let’s raise "Modern Day Joseph’s" God’s way: First parents lead the way then teachers chime in.

Awana News
Awana has got off to a great start. We’re filling up the New Family Life Center on Sunday nights. We hope you’ll come and visit us. Mr. Ed leads us in our opening time at 5:15 p.m. We gather around the game circle and you’ll see most of the clubbers now have their uniforms and handbooks. And Ed leads us in pledges, prayer, and songs.
The Lord gave us a beautiful sunny day for our hike to Willow Lake on October 10th. We had a great turnout of kids and leaders. We had a nature hunt to find things from A-Z. One of the new Sparkie boys, (Hunter Hooper) was able to fill up his brown paper sack to overflowing. Some of the things he found were: Snake skins, bottle caps, pinecone’s, tree bark, barbed-wire, sticks and even a grasshopper. A few of the other kids had their eyes on a baby tarantula, but we told them to leave it alone! Mr. Earl showed us a huge knot on a tree and told us it’s called a "burl." Mr. Ken has taken some good pictures of our trip, see the bulletin board in the New Building.
The next family event we have planned is the Awana Grand prix on Saturday November 21st at 1:00 pm. This is for kids 3rd-6th grade, our Truth & Training group. Cars will be available to buy for $4.00. This is a project we want the kids to do - parents can only assist. Mr. Stan and Mr. John will help cut out car designs (kids need to come up with the design) on Saturday November 7th at 9:00 am. We hope you’ll mark this event on your calendar.
I’m so thankful for all the leaders that come out each Sunday to help. But we still could use more listeners. The children are eager to learn their Bible verses, and sometimes we can’t get to hear them all. Even if you could help us once in awhile- that would be great. Thank you to those who bring us snacks, the kids look forward to snack-time. I’m so thankful for this church family!
Together we make the difference,
Miss Pam
