Women's Bible Study

Women’s Ministry

Thursday nights at 7pm through the month of February Kay Prater is teaching us how to do a word study, many of us have never done a word study, but what a great way to dig deeper into Gods word.. No sign ups necessary so just come join us. Bring your bible, concordance or bible dictionary and have your eyes opened to the word of God.

In March we will be starting a new bible study "Becoming a Woman of Simplicity." This study will teach us how to direct our hearts and minds to trust and rest in God as he grants us inward simplicity that can then lead to an outward simplicity by making wise choices in a complex world. We will be offering this class on Tuesday mornings at 9am and Thursday evenings at 7pm, childcare will be available upon request. We will begin sign ups in February.

Women's Ministry

I hope that 2010 is going well for everyone. We have been studying various words: Faith, Joy (rejoice), Discipline and Hope, the past several weeks in our Thursday evening study. We are starting this year off with a study by Cindi Wood, "Victoriously Frazzled". I don't know about you, but this "frazzled" caught my eye right away. It is a seven-week course that has some homework, about 20 minutes per day for five days of the week. This it the estimate by the publisher. We plan to start the study Thursday at 7:00 PM, April 1st, (there will be no Tuesday morning study offered at this time). The workbooks cost $11.00 per person.

Now, what is "Victoriously Frazzled" all about? Here is a brief description: Victoriously Frazzled will help any worn out, burned out, and stressed out woman understand the spirit God has given her. The goal is to lead you into the presence of God - right in the midst of your "frazzledness"; by doing so, you will gradually pull back from confusion and doubt, from fear and self, and allow God's Spirit to have His way in your life. Sign-ups begin right away and will need to be turned into the church office by March 8th.

Keep your eye posted for our very own recipe book. Recipes are being collected to create our own recipe book. We will be putting more information in regarding this within the next couple of months.

Our Monday afternoon quilting group led by Ruth Ann Clark meets from 1 - 4pm in the fireside fellowship hall. Bring any craft you want to work on or need help with and join the ladies for wonderful fellowship.

We are attempting to put together a FSBC cookbook......we need your recipe contributions! You can put your recipes in the collection plate, leave them in the church office, or email to quilteremk@msn.com. We cannot do this without your help so be thinking about what recipes you would like to include in the cookbook and please don't forget your name on the recipe.
