SENIOR MOMENTS by Janie Dickey and Denise Spinler

The December Senior luncheon was well attended by over 40 people on Wednesday, December 14, 2011. We were happy to have three couples, guests of Nell Barnhill, join us for this event. We hope to see them return for future meetings. Our guest speaker, Steve Osborn, was unable to make it due to weather conditions. We will reschedule him at his convenience. This was a “Pitch-In” and the food was delicious and varied. The program became one of music, which is always enjoyed. Dan Ewing and Irene Valentine sang a couple of carols and then with Greg Dressel accompanying on guitar, several other Christmas songs were sung by those attending. Greg then sang his own arrangement of “Mary, Did You Know”. This was beautifully presented and enjoyed. Several relevant stories were read by Janie and copies were handed out. Janie asked for a show of hands of those who would like to have a Game Afternoon for the January meeting. Snacks or sandwiches would be the food and table games would be available. This was accepted by a large number of those in attendance. So, we will start off 2012 on January 11^th. Watch the Sunday bulletins for details. Denise and Janie want to say, “Happy New Year”.
